Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme Compliance Check
The Revenue have begun to send out query letters to employers.
Revenue administers the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme ( on behalf of the Department of Employment and Social Protection (The TWSS is a very significant investment by Government in the fight against the impact of the
COVID 19 pandemic. There are now over 55,000 employers availing of the scheme in respect of more than 410,000 employees at a cost of €1.6 Billion to date.
The letter is part of Revenues engagement with all employers that are accessing or have accessed the TWSS to confirm compliance with the scheme eligibility requirements and to confirm that the appropriate amounts due under the scheme have been refunded to employers by Revenue. We also want to confirm that each employer has passed on the correct subsidy payment to each eligible employee.
